Multi pitch routes climbing autonomy course in Verdon

Description

I propose you a 3-day course in the Verdon gorges to become autonomous in multi pitch route climbing. Rope handling, abseiling and belay organization will have no more secrets for you after these few days.

If you are interested in this adventure, join me in one of the most famous climbing spots in France and even in the world.

You will have the opportunity to taste the incredible atmosphere of these gorges, to climb on perfect limestone rock, to evolve several hundred meters above the river and maybe even, if you are lucky, to be flown over by the griffon vultures or the peregrine falcons which inhabit this exceptional place.

At the border of the departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Var, all styles of climbing are offered to you: cracks, slabs, overhangs, water drops... enough to delight all climbers. Around the pretty village of La Palud-sur-Verdon where we will certainly stay, many known sectors and cliffs are easily accessible: Imbut, Escalès, Félines, Malines, Galetas, Eycharme, Mainmorte, Maugué, etc. It is there that you will climb superb multi pitch routes that we will choose together. You will love it!

Required level: be able to climb 6a leading.

I'm also offering a similar course in Chamonix to help you achieve autonomy on a multi pitch route climbing.

If you'd like to make a dream come true, or achieve a goal that's close to your heart, you can also follow me to climb a multi pitch route in Haute-Savoie (Chamonix, Annecy, etc.) or in the Aosta valley.

Program

D1: Learning of rope handling for multi pitch routes.
Meeting point at La Palud-sur-Verdon at 9am for this day dedicated to rope handling.
We go to a cliff offering one length routes.
End of the day around 4pm.

D2: First multi pitch climbing route.
This time we go and climb a multi pitch route (few pitches) to practice all the rope handling learned the day before during your multi pitch big routes!
This day will also be an opportunity for you to learn how to go down by abseiling.
The schedule will be similar to the previous day.

D3: Climbing of a multi pitch climbing route in the Verdon gorges.
The itinerary is to be defined according to the level of the group.

The price includes

• Supervision by the climbing instructor.
• Transport to the activity sites.
• Collective equipment necessary to practice the activity: quickdraws, ropes, etc.

The price does not include

• Transport to / from the Verdon gorges.
• Accommodation.
• Food.
• Drinks.
• Rental of climbing shoes.
