Infos & BookingDescription
When it comes to climbing, sometimes all it takes is a little click, a word or a special moment to break through a technical or psychological barrier.
By evolving each day under the watchful eye of your mountain guide / climbing instructor, you have the opportunity during this course to progress, to exchange and to test your limits. You learn every day, you discover your potential, and you are motivated by the group dynamics!
Every day, we seek to:
- Take stock of your strengths and weaknesses, technical and/or psychological, depending on your climbing objectives (more relaxed climbing, concentration, forgetting about ratings, improving your strategy, developing technique for greater versatility, etc.).
- Work on your weak points and have an approach for continuing your progress in your personal practice.
- Work on a route and improve your on sight climbing.
- Know how to belay correctly and thus better understand and apprehend the fall.
- Develop your skills and sensations by varying the supports and efforts involved (slab, overhang, boulder, etc.).
- Better understand the climbing environment (choice of routes, quality of bolting, etc.) for serene climbing!
The follow-up is specific to each trainee, according to his/her expectations. The program is customized.
This course is also an opportunity to discover the beautiful climbing sites and landscapes of the Haut Val Durance, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes department.
To evolve and progress in your activity, I also offer a 5-day advanced climbing course in the Hautes-Alpes. You can also widen your range of possibilities and initiate to multi pitch route climbing, also in the Hautes-Alpes or climb a multi pitch route together in Ailefroide or take a traditional climbing course at Annot in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
And if you're in the mood for a great vertical experience with family and friends, why not try the via ferrata of the gorges d'Ailefroide above Pelvoux in the Écrins?
Program
Here's an idea of what's involved during this course in the Haut Val Durance. It is given as an indication only, and is different for each course depending on the climbers' expectations.
D1: Climbing, evaluations, exchanges, etc.
We meet at the Eygliers hostel for a morning coffee and croissant.
Then first session on the school cliff to evaluate the skills and expectations of each climber, to exchange ideas, to remove rust and to review some basics...
We take the opportunity to review some safety basics: belaying, falls, communication, roping up, etc.
D2: Climbing day.
On the program of the day, lead climbing, top-roping, taking reference points, setting up objectives.
We approach the reading of the routes, the strategy, the slackening, etc. And especially we have fun.
D3: Bouldering day in Ailefroide or cliff climbing.
Bouldering is a great base forclimbing, and a weapon to improve on cliffs. At the same time, you'll discover an incredible playground and support for progress, in one of the world's leading climbing areas.
We can also continue on the cliffs, progress on the objectives, etc.
D4: Climbing day on the cliff.
