Ski touring weekend with night in the forest (Bauges)

Description

I propose two days dedicated to different winter pleasures in the heart of Savoie department: the pleasure of ski touring and the pleasure of a comfortable evening in the forest, enjoying the short nights, around the warmth of a fire and a good meal typical of the gastronomy of the Bauges massif!

For sure you will enjoy the wild places of the Bauges mountains that we will visit, and the beautiful views of the nearby mountains.

If you come with your group, the itinerary will be customized to your needs and desires, with positive altitude differences between 300 meters minimum to a maximum of 2500 meters if you wish it!

There is no need to carry anything for the evening or the night, other than what is strictly necessary for your well-being and hygiene. The lightness will be appreciated during the ascents and also during the descents!

If you would like to continue your discovery of this beautiful and little-known Bauges mountains, I also suggest other two-day discoveries: the Upper Bauges ski touring traverse and the Arcalod tour. Conditions permitting, you might also opt for a day of powder ski touring, still in the Bauges.

Program

D1: Ski touring then evening and night in the forest.
We meet at 9.30am in the village of École en Bauges, about 50 minutes drive from Annecy, Alberville or Chambéry.
Presentation of the group, check of the equipment and short transfer to the starting point of the ski tour.
Then let us go for ski touring, again and again, until we arrive at the place where we will spend the evening and the night.

D2: Ski touring.
After a copious breakfast, I propose a new discovery of the slopes and original places to make the best possible ski touring.
Return to the parking lot, end of the weekend and departure around 4pm.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain guide specialist of the Bauges mountains.
• The possible loan of the safety kit: avalanche beacon, probe and shovel.
• The organization of the evening and the night.

The price does not include

• Return transport to the village of École en Bauges.
• The short vehicule transfer to the start of the ski touring hike (carpooling possible).
• The 2 picnics.
• Snacks.
• Drinks.
• Food expenses for the evening and breakfast (in addition).
• Your individual insurance for this type of mountain activity.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
