Description

Perfect canyon for initiation and discovery, the gorges de Malvaux will introduce you to the joys of canyoning in the heart of the Jura mountains. One of the region's most entertaining canyoning courses, it is a real natural aqualand!

The route begins with a walk along the riverbed of the Saine, a tributary of the Ain, before reaching the first jump, a few metres high. What follows is a succession of small rapids and jumps, with opportunities for swimming, slides and side jumps.

Note the presence of a natural siphon in the middle of the canyon which, depending on the water level, can be snorkelled. The canyon ends with a 7-meter jump into a magnificent waterfall (not mandatory, as always in canyoning).

This canyon is ideal for discovering canyoning with the family, or even for the more sporty who want to have some fun with friends. It has the advantage of being very often practicable, whatever the water level.

Program

Meeting point in Foncine-le-Bas at the Tram' Jurasienne parking lot, one hour drive from Pontarlier or Lons-le-Saunier.
Equipment with neoprene suits and safety equipment.
10-minute approach walking.
5-minute safety briefing.
Approximately 2 hours and a half of descent in the canyon.
20 minutes walk back to the parking lot
De-equipping at the parking lot.

The price includes

Supervision by the canyoning instructor.
Aquatic equipment (neoprene suit, neoprene socks).
Technical safety equipment (helmet, harness, lanyards, etc.).

The price does not include

Transport to and from Foncine-le-Bas.
