Canyoning in the "ravin des Arcs" (Hérault, Montpellier)

Description

Located in Saint-Martin-de-Londres, the "ravin des Arc" is well known to hikers. It's a small meander carved out by the Lamalou river in the pine forest, close to Montpellier.

When the conditions are good, canyoning down the "ravin des Arcs" is an exceptional experience. You'll find a bit of technique with an abseil and a rapid to overcome, as well as some fun with several possible jumps ranging from 2 to 10 meters high.

The scenery is grandiose as the water fills the entire canyon, and there are even plenty of caves to visit.

The highlight is an abseil under the natural arch: guaranteed thrills and lots of fun. For outdoor activities in the Hérault region, this is a great change of scenery despite its proximity to Montpellier.

Come as a group or as a family to discover this incredible place, but you'll have to wait for exceptional conditions to allow the outing to run smoothly.
The activity is open to children aged 10 and over.

Program

• Meet in the village of Saint-Martin-de-Londres, on the parking lot of the "Ravin des Arcs", about 30 minutes' drive from Montpellier.
• 45 minutes for equipment, approach walk, briefing and shuttle (depending on the period).
• 2 hours for the canyoning descent.
• 45 minutes for return walk and de-equipping.
• A total of 3 hours of activity on average.

The price includes

• Supervision by the experienced canyoning instructor.
• Quality equipment necessary for the practice of the activity (5mm neoprene wetsuit, helmet, safety harness, lanyards, backpack with watertight canister, etc.).

The price does not include

• Transport to and from Saint-Martin-de-Londres.
• Swimsuit, shoes and socks.
• Snacks.
• Drinks.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
