I'd like to take you on an adventure on Reunion Island on an original and accessible hike in the heart of the Mafate cirque. For two days, you'll explore the beauties of the lower Mafate, with a night at the ilet des Orangers les hauts. You'll be seduced by the charm of this off-center ilet, with its exceptional views!
This getaway is perfect for families looking for a unforgettable experience. You can also experiment further by choosing to spend the night in a tent, provided on site, to diversify your stay!
If I am unavailable, a colleague from the Bureau Montagne Réunion Trek will take care of the supervision.

Program
D1: La Possession - Sans-Soucis - Îlet des Orangers.
From the Rivière des Galets parking lot in La Possession, we quickly take a vehicle towards the village of Sans-Soucis, the starting point of the Orangers pipe. From here, our route follows the path along the edge of the rampart, offering panoramic views at every turn, revealing the panorama of the cirque de Mafate. At the end of the canal trail, we take the GR to reach the islet of Orangers les hauts, where we spend the night on this isolated promontory with exceptional views.
Duration: 6 hours, distance: 13km, positive altitude difference: 600 meters, negative altitude difference: 100 meters.
D2: Îlet des Orangers - Cayenne - Deux Bras - La Possession.
We start our descent from the îlet to cross the îlet des Lataniers. At this point, we descend to the bed of the Rivière des Galets to take the footbridge. We continue on towards Cayenne islet, another charming piece of paradise. A descent then takes us to explore the bottom of the gorge along a pleasant path, winding and crossing the river several times, with our feet in the water! We make a refreshing stop at the bassin du bras d'Oussy. The trail comes to an end at Deux-Bras, where we take a 4WD vehicle to the parking lot via a track running alongside the river.
Duration: 5 hours, distance: 7km, D-: 750 meters.
