The Paldor base camp and Ganesh Himal trek is an amazing adventure offering the perfect combination of natural beauty, cultural richness and challenging trekking experiences. Nestled in the magnificent Ganesh Himal region of Nepal, this trek takes you to Paldor base camp, a breathtaking peak culminating at 5896 meters above sea level.

Program

D1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Your adventure begins in Kathmandu, the mystical valley where ancient and modern meet in a vibrant cultural dance. Vibrant markets, ancient architecture and enchanting aromas welcome you to a city steeped in history and spirituality.

D2: Free day in Kathmandu for formalities.
Enjoy a free day in Kathmandu to explore the city's cultural gems. Between visits to ancient temples, the lively alleys of Thamel and local flavors in quaint cafés, let yourself be immersed in the unique atmosphere of Nepal's capital.

D3: Kathmandu - Betrawati (730m) - Pokhari (1000m).
After formalities, begin your journey to Betrawati, then continue to Pokhari. A six-hour drive with changing views from lush green plains to rolling hills, followed by a two-hour walk takes you to your first camp.

D4: Pokharai - Nyuchet (1870m).
A five-hour walk takes you to Nyuchet. The trail winds through diverse landscapes, passing picturesque villages and rolling hills. The camp at Nyuchet offers panoramic views of the mountains, immersing you in an atmosphere of peace.

D5: Nyuchet - Gongur Bhanjyang (2900m).
A five-hour walk along quiet paths takes you to Gongur Bhanjyang. Snow-capped peaks begin to appear on the horizon, creating a majestic tableau.
Overnight in camp.

D6: Gongur Bhanjyang - Rupchet (3640m).
The trail continues towards Rupchet, at an altitude of 3640 meters. The day's walk offers grandiose panoramas as you gain altitude. The camp at Rupchet offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, creating a spectacular backdrop.

D7: Rupchet - Sing La Pass (4000m) - Tiru Danda (3995m).
An epic five-hour day takes you over the Sing La Pass at 4000 meters and then down to Tiru Danda at 3995 meters. Breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks and valleys below create unforgettable memories. Camping at Tiru Danda allows you to fully immerse yourself in the magic of the Himalayas.

D8: Tiru Danda - Pangsang Bhanjyang (3830m) - Samdang (3270m).
A day full of discovery takes you from Tiru Danda to Pangsang Bhanjyang, culminating at 3830 meters, then on to the charming village of Samdang at 3270 meters. The trails wind between the hills, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. Camping in Samdang under a starry sky adds a magical dimension to this stage of the trip.

D9: Samdang - Lari Mine (4110m) - former Paldor base camp (4280m).
The day takes you through the Lari mine at 4110 meters for a unique experience at altitude. You then reach the former Paldor base camp at 4280 meters.

D10: Paldor base camp - Pass 4650m - Jaisali Kund (4215m).
We follow rocky trails to the pass at 4650 meters, offering panoramic views of the majestic surroundings. You then descend to Jaisali Kund at 4215 meters, a jewel nestled between the mountains. Camping here creates an atmosphere of wonder, surrounded by peaks that seem to touch the sky.

D11: Jaisale Kund - Lake Camp (4450m).
A six-hour hike takes you through breathtaking scenery to Lake Camp at 4450 meters. Nature reveals its treasures as you walk along mountain trails, culminating in the crystal-clear lake. Your campsite by the lake offers a breathtaking view of the reflections of the surrounding peaks in its calm waters.

D12: Lake camp - Khola Kharka (3950m).
A day's walk takes you from the enchantment of the lake to Khola Kharka at 3950 meters. Green valleys and mountain panoramas accompany you along the way. The camp at Khola Kharka invites you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature.

D13: Khola Kharka - Forest Camp (2750m).
Through varied landscapes, you make your way downhill to Forest Camp at 2750 meters. The diversity of flora and fauna creates a magical atmosphere, while the camp in the heart of the forest offers peaceful shelter.

D14: Forest camp - Tatopani (2650m).
A three-hour hike takes you to Tatopani at 2650 meters, where you are welcomed in the comfort of a lodge. You can immerse yourself in the natural hot springs, soothing your body after this intense adventure. The lodge at Tatopani offers a well-deserved rest in picturesque surroundings.

D15: Tatopani - Goljung - Syabrubesi (1450m).
A five-hour walk takes you back through Goljung to Syabrubesi at 1450 meters. Encounters with local people and views of traditional villages add an authentic touch to this final stage of the trek. The lodge at Syabrubesi offers the comfort and warmth of a temporary home.

D16: Syabrubesi - Kathmandu.
The loop closes with a six-hour bus journey from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu.

The price includes

  • Supervision by the experienced French-speaking guide.
  • Airport/hotel/airport transfers.
  • Kathmandu/Betrawati trip by private bus for groups of 4 or more, otherwise by local bus.
  • Sybrubesi/Kathmandu trip by private bus for 6 people or more, otherwise by local bus.
  • Full-board lodge accommodation, including all meals with tea or coffee (except drinks).
  • 2 nights' hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, including breakfast.
  • One porter for every 2 participants (in compliance with the Nepal Porters' Union regulations, one porter carries a maximum of 20kg; you will need to hire an additional porter if your luggage exceeds 10kg).
  • An assistant guide (depending on group size).
  • Cook and assistant cooks.
  • Camping equipment (tents, mess tents, toilet tents, etc.).
  • Trekking permit for Langtang National Park.
  • TIMS card (Trekking Information Management System).
  • Insurance for the entire Nepalese team.

The price does not include

  • International flight.
  • Personal equipment (sleeping bag, hiking poles, water bottle, backpack, sunglasses, sunscreen).
  • Personal insurance (mandatory: check that your insurance covers you in the event of an accident, i.e. all medical expenses, the cost of a helicopter evacuation and air transport home).
  • Drinks.
  • Nepal entry visa (check that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your return date).
  • Transport to and from Kathmandu.
  • City entrance fees (museum, monument, monastery).
  • Expenses arising from exceptional events (road closure, landslide, general strike, bad weather, snow) that cannot be foreseen.

No refunds will be made for interrupted or abbreviated trips, or for changes to the program at the request of participants (accident, illness, altitude sickness, early return, abbreviated trek).
