Infos & BookingDescription
I would like to offer you a day's training in aid climbing, which isn't widely taught but is nevertheless a great way to get to grips with your equipment. Aid climbing enables you to climb routes entirely in aid style, or to pass a difficult climbing step with an "aid" (indicated by the A0 and A1 ratings on the guide books).
More precisely, aid climbing consists of using hands and/or feet to pull oneself up to anchor points in the rock that have generally been installed beforehand, such as pitons, friends, stoppers, etc., or that are already in place (spits, bolts, pitons). It is the opposite of free climbing, where only the rock is used for climbing.
This one-day aid climbing course takes place on cliffs around Grenoble or in the Vercors massif, such as Saint-Égrève, les Saillants du Gua, le Petit Désert, le Coup de Sabre, Lans-en-Vercors and others.
With this course, you will be able to get through the aid passages with little equipment and without forcing yourself, using tips and tricks to be as efficient as possible. I am sure you will even get a taste for this technique. Open to everyone, beginner or expert, it's never too late to fill your climbing toolbox and learn more.
Alongside this initiation, I also offer a trad climbing course in Annot in the Southern Alps and, to improve your climbing skills, 4 days in Isère to overcome your fear of falling when climbing.
I also offer the chance to put into practice what you have learned on a trad climbing stay in the Lofoten or on this rock-climbing and canyoning trip in Oman.
