Description

I propose you to come and experience a beautiful vertical adventure on the Roc d'Anglars via ferrata in Saint-Antoine-Noble-Val, Tarn-et-Garonne.

A via ferrata can be defined as a vertiginous hike with some easy climbing (sometimes perched over 50 meters high!). It offers exceptional views on the neighbouring environment and it is a great way of climbing, abseiling, zip-lining... and discovering the flora and fauna that surround us.

The Roc d'Anglars via ferrata climbs on a cliff that mainly takes place in the shade, so it is very pleasant even during the summer and as soon as temperatures rise. It offers a very lovely view on the medieval village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val and the Quercy Causse. It is also located just a few minutes from the Aveyron river, a perfect place to have an after-sport swim or a drink in one of the "guinguettes".

The route has been designed to be accessible to beginners, but also offers a more sporty variant (welcome to those with a taste for wide open spaces and adventure ;-).
The minimum age required is 12 (or 7 if you are an "experienced" climber or already pratice tree climbing).

After a pleasant approach walk, the Roc d'Anglars via ferrata consists of a long and ascending traverse from the left to the right, with varying degrees of difficulty depending on the chosen options. Some sections are common to all the routes. But whatever the itinerary, you will quickly gain height until you reach a wide and vertiginous ledge. The via ferrata can include climbing, abseiling, a zip-line and... a few surprises (no, I won't tell you more about them ;-)

If you fancy another similar route, you can follow me on the Roc du Gorb via ferrata in Bor-et-Bar (Aveyron). You can also complete the day with an introduction to rock climbing on one of the cliffs near Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, or a little further on the Roc du Gorb.
