Roc d'Anglars sporty via ferrata (Tarn-et-Garonne)

Description

I would like to take you on an itinerary which is a variant of the classic Roc d'Anglars via ferrata in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. Longer, more athletic and vertiginous, but without being extreme, it nevertheless requires a minimum of physical fitness and will give you a good height under your feet ;-)

This via ferrata offers an exceptional panorama and, depending on the variant chosen, allows you to practice climbing, abseiling, zip-lining... as well as discovering the flora and fauna that surround us.

The Roc d'Anglars via ferrata takes place mainly in the shade, so it is very pleasant in midsummer and as soon as temperatures rise. The views of the medieval village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, the Causse du Quercy and the Aveyron river are also impressive (perfect place to finish off with a swim or a drink in one of the "guinguettes").
The minimum age for the tour is 12, with a minimum weight of 40 kg.

After a pleasant approach walk to the base of the cliff, the via ferrata consists of a long traverse of varying degrees of difficulty and ascent. Some parts are common to all routes. You will quickly gain height until you reach a wide and vertiginous ledge where several choices are available to take you higher and higher ;-)

In case you prefer to climb an easier route, I would better recommend the classic Roc d'Anglars via ferrata.

Program

• Meet at the via ferrata parking lot near Saint-Antoine-Noble-Val, about an hour's drive north of Albi and 45 minutes from Montauban.
• Equipment distribution and briefing.
• 20- minute approach walking to the start of the via.
• Approximately 2 hours and a half on the via ferrata.
• 5-minute return walking to the parking lot.
• Total time around 3 hours (more or less, depending on the number of participants and the chosen route).

The price includes

• Supervision by the climbing instructor.
• Loan of safety equipment adapted to the activity: harness, helmet, via ferrata lanyard with energy absorber, rope, pulley, etc.
• Individual insurance.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from the village of Saint-Antoine-Noble-Val.
• Snacks.
• Drinks.
• Anything not mentioned in "Price includes".
