Multi pitch route climbing in the Pyrenees

Description

Whether in spring, autumn or even winter, beautiful and sunny rock faces await you to enjoy climbing in the heart of the Pyrenees massif.

Those mountains represent the perfect place to explore multi pitch climbing in the south of France. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced climber, I offer you the chance to discover beautiful routes at all levels, on superb rock and in the heart of nature.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of examples of sites where we can practice:

• Calamès: Located above the village of Bédeilhac, between Foix and Tarascon-sur-Ariège, this beautiful south-facing limestone cliff is 160 meters high. After a short approache walking, you will find here around 20 multi pitch routes covering a variety of climbing styles (slab, vertical walls, overhangs, etc.), all levels and up to 250 meters high for 7 climbing pitches.
• Quié de Sinsat: in the heart of the Ax valley, the Quié de Sinsat features several beautiful limestone cliffs and offers a multitude of great climbing routes of varying levels and an average height of around 300 meters. The predominant style is slab, and the rock is of impeccable quality. We are sure to find a route to suit you!
• Suberpène: between Lannemezan and Saint-Lary-Soulan, the Suberpène climbing area offers superb limestone rock and a wide range of climbing styles, to the delight of all climbers. This cliff features a multitude of pillars, multicolored walls and columns. But what Suberpène has in addition is a wide variety of affordable routes. Indeed, climbers from level 4 to 6a will find a good number of routes here, some of which, even at this affordable level, are really very beautiful.

 

If you would like to continue the experience, you might also try this course dedicated to multi-pitch climbing in the Calanques. To take your climbing to the next level, I offer a traditional climbing course in the Caroux massif. And in case you want to live an unforgettable experience, I do recommend a night on a cliff in the Pyrenees or Occitanie.

• Ascent of a multi pitch route adapted to your level.
• Instruction in techniques specific to multi pitch routes (belaying the second, setting up the anchor, communication, how to go down if you stop your ascent, preparing for the ascent, etc.).
