Description

Marseille, birthplace of exceptional climbers such as Gaston Rébuffat and Georges Livanos, alias the Greek, to name but a few. When you say it, you have said it all, haven't you?

In addition to the fact that climbing in the Calanques takes place on exceptional rock with a great atmosphere and rarely bad weather (a Marseillais told me that it's sunny 400 days a year there... that's saying something!), they are part of one of those historic places where part of the history of mountaineering was played out during the 20th century.

Whether in spring, autumn or even winter, beautiful, sun-drenched rock faces await you in the heart of the Calanques National Park.

It's the perfect place to enjoy great, affordable climbing routes in the south of France, with the sea as a backdrop!

You can also follow me to climb a multi pitch route in the Pyrenees or, if you would like to take your climbing to the next level, opt for a traditional multi pitch route climbing course in the Caroux massif. I also recommend an unforgettable experience: a night suspended from a cliff in the Pyrenees or Occitanie.
