Introduction and advanced ski touring (Isère)

Description

I would like to invite you to spend a wonderful day in the mountains and discover ski touring or to become self-sufficient.

If you are a downhill skier, this outing is your chance to discover the freedom of the mountains, far from the ski lifts. Whether you are a beginner or an occasional touring skier, you will learn the basics to move towards autonomy.

This day's ski touring in the massifs surrounding Grenoble (Belledonne, Chartreuse, Vercors, Taillefer) or a little further afield (Vanoise, Écrins, etc.) will give you the chance to get out into nature, take your time, look up, enjoy a picnic at the summit and experience the joy of a well-deserved descent. An aperitif and debriefing will round off this wonderful day in the mountains.

Program

• Coffee briefing (map reading, day's schedule, etc.).
• Initiation:
  • Discovery of equipment.
  • Progression techniques (many ways to move forward smoothly and with minimum effort).
  • Choice of itineraries, observation of the mountain.
  • Descent techniques to gain in ease and pass everywhere safely.
  • Possibility of returning to the slopes for the descent if you have a low level of downhill ability.
• Improvement and access to autonomy:
  • Preparation of the outing in advance (3x3 method, choice of route, drawing up a plan B, decision knots, etc.).
  • Workshops in the field (decision aids, nivology, group leadership, learning to trace).
  • Advanced evolution techniques (ascent and descent).
  • Program adaptable to your wishes and requirements.
  • Possibility of extending the duration to a weekend with a night in a refuge.
