Infos & BookingDescription
I invite you to join me for three days of climbing on the mythical Buoux cliff in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Lubéron.
This course is an opportunity to benefit from the advice of a professional to improve your skills under the Provence sun. We will take the time to identify your areas for improvement and set you realistic objectives.
The minimum level required to take part in this trip is to be able to climb 6b/c routes minimum (leading).
Well-known to climbers from all over the world, the Buoux cliff is rightly world-renowned. More than 500 routes have been mapped out on its magnificent limestone rock, from level 5 to level 8c. Slab, vertical, overhanging, all profiles are present! Since the first routes were opened in the 70s, part of climbing history has been written here. In the early 80s, the movie "La vie au bout des doigts" (Life at your fingertips) revolutionized the sport, showing young Patrick Edlinger climbing Buoux's routes "barehanded" and solo (i.e. without rope or belay). We all still remember the images of him casually dangling from a single hand, a hundred meters above the ground. After seeing this film, which has since become a cult classic, many new climbers were born.
Numerous routes such as "Le pilier des fourmis (6b+)", "La rose des sables (7a)", "Azincourt (France's first 8c)", "La diagonale du fou (8a)", etc. became iconic and are still highly coveted.
During this 3-day course, you will be sure to climb some excellent rock and find some motivating personal objectives.
If you would like to improve your climbing skills, I also offer:
- a 4-day crack and traditional climbing course in Annot,
