Description
Join me for 4 days of crack climbing and traditional climbing on the sandstone cliffs of Annot in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
On the program: fitting protection (cams), learning foot and hand jamming techniques, crack climbing.
Trad climbing (or traditional climbing) is a more sporting form of adventure climbing. The quality and quantity of protection on these lines of weakness (usually limestone, sandstone or granite) enable you to push yourself to your limits in complete safety.
Around the village of Annot in the Southern Alps, this course is an opportunity to learn and discover the gestures specific to this type of climbing. It's also great training for high-mountain climbing.
If you would like to improve your climbing skills, I also offer:
- a 3-day advanced climbing course in Buoux,
- a 3-day course in the Verdon gorges to move towards autonomy in multi-pitch climbing,
- a 3-day course in Chamonix to become autonomous in multi-pitch climbing,
- and a multi-pitch climbing and yoga course in the Verdon.
Program
D1: Discovery of crack and traditional climbing.
- Discovery of protection methods (friends and cams).
- Top rope climbing in cracks.
- Learn your first jamming techniques.
D2: Lead your first traditional climbing routes.
D3 and D4: Perfecting your skills and discovering other (wider) types of cracks.
The price includes
- Supervision by the climbing instructor.
- Collective equipment needed for the activity: quickdraws, ropes, etc.
- Professional insurance.
The price does not include
- Transport to Annot, about an hour and a half's drive from Digne-les-Bains or Nice.
- Personal insurance coverage.
- Personal equipment (harness, climbing shoes, helmet, etc.).
- Accommodation in Annot.
- Meals.
- All drinks.
- Personal expenses.
- Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
