Description

Come and discover the Marmites du diable canyon between Lus-la-Croix-Haute and Veynes, 35 minutes from Gap.

This is a great aquatic hike, and your first introduction to canyoning in the Hautes-Alpes department. Suitable for children aged 6 and over, it is a real little adventure for families. Jumps, slides and abseiling are just some of the activities on offer.

All in all, you will enjoy a refreshing stroll through the beautifully sculpted basins of the Durbonas torrent, in the heart of the Buëch valley.

The trip takes around 2 hours and can be completed by people who have not necessarily done canyoning before. You must be at least 6 years old and be able to swim. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any medical problems.

Program

Departure in the morning or early afternoon, for around 2 hours of activity.
Meeting point: marmites du diable canyon parking lot, 35 minutes drive from Gap and 40 minute from Croix-Haute pass.
15-minute approach walk.
From 1 hour to 1 hour and a half down the canyon.
10-minute return walk to the parking lot.

The price includes

Supervision by the canyoning instructor.
Technical equipment required for the activity: 5mm neoprene wetsuit, neoprene socks, harness with double lanyards, descender, helmet. But also suitable backpacks with watertight containers to carry your clothes and water bottles.

The price does not include

Transport to and from the marmites du diable canyon parking lot.
Swimming suit + towel.
Sneakers or mountain boots (shoes in good condition that fit well).
Snacks.
At least 1 liter of water (plastic bottle) for 2 people.
A lanyard if you wear glasses.
An elastic band to tie back long hair.
Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
