Description

I offer climbing sessions that will prepare you for independent practice on cliffs (so-called "sport" cliffs with one-pitch routes). They take place on one of the crags located less than 10 kilometers from Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the Tarn or Tarn-et-Garonne departments (for example Manjo-Carn), which are ideal for this type of activity.

These sessions are designed for climbers who are already initiated and are autonomous in second-pitch climbing and want to become so when leading. A minimum level of 5/5+ is required. They are suitable both for those wishing to refresh their skills and for those wishing to acquire the know-how required for independent climbing. The sessions are available for individuals, pairs or small groups of up to 6 people (except for clubs or groups of people already practicing together).

On request, they can be followed by one or more additional sessions to validate the skills acquired and discuss the experience of independent practice.

Here are a few examples of cliffs where this activity can be enjoyed:

  • Le Roc d'Anglars: Mostly located in the shade, this large 80-meter-high limestone cliff, which also houses a via ferrata, offers numerous routes from level 4c upwards. The routes are steep, even overhanging, and easy to access.
  • Manjo-Carn: Over a hundred routes up to grade 9 await you on this crag. The routes are carved out of fine limestone, and are vertical or overhanging, with small holds. The site is particularly well-suited to an educational session dedicated to aotonomy.
  • La Croix: In the sun at the end of the day, this wall has the same characteristics as the previous two, but with the addition of less physical slab routes.
  • Amiel and la Madeleine: Dozens more routes are offered on these two cliffs. Facing south, they are practicable in winter, but a little less so on hot summer days.

If you're more of a beginner, I also offer introductory climbing sessions in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val or on the Roc de Gorg cliff at Bor-et-Bar in Aveyron.
