Discovery and initiation climbing in Tenerife

Description

With friends or family, with the desire to learn or simply to have a good time, come and try sport climbing in a natural environment on the island of Tenerife: in other words, single-pitch cliff climbing.

This climbing session is also an opportunity to discover Tenerife accompanied by a French climbing instructor (English speaking also). In the heart of the Canary archipelago, the "Island of Eternal Spring", which has a summer climate in the middle of winter, offers a singular quality of rock and extraordinary landscapes.

The activity is suitable for adults and children over 8 years old. All equipment is provided.

Here are some examples of sites where we might climb:

• Tamadaya: Near Arico Viejo, this basalt cliff has about a hundred routes of different profiles and easy to intermediate level. Easy to access, it is ideal for beginners.
• El Rio: This spot has several sectors, mostly in steep basalt rock, from level 5 to 8. Quickly accessible, the foot of the routes are comfortable for young children.
• Zona zero: Here you can climb in the shade, on routes of about thirty meters high and of any levels. Here you can practice even on the hottest days!
• Arico Arriba: A major site on the island of Tenerife, this 25-meter-high cliff can be climbed all year round. Numerous routes of all levels await you.
• Polegre: Located in a magnificent dry canyon, this spot with its magnificent ochre-colored rock offers easy, fairly short and easily accessible routes.
• Guasiegre medio: Also located in a pretty canyon, this cliff offers a number of routes suitable for beginners on excellent rock.
• Etc.

And if you are already a climber and want to improve, I also offer advanced climbing courses on this island of Tenerife. You can also opt for a great vertical experience by climbing a multi pitch route together on the Teide volcano.

Program

Classes can be organised around a half day, a full day or a course lasting several days. We always choose cliffs that are suitable to your level of climbing and to the weather conditions.

Course content:

• Discovery and use of the equipment.
• Mastery of belay and safety techniques.
• Leading and top rope climbing.
• Pleasure and emotion!

The price includes

• Supervision and personal follow up by the climbing instructor.
• Necessary equipment for the activity (harness, helmet, rope, belay device, climbing shoes, quickdraws, carabiners, etc.).
• Personal accident insurance.
