Program

D1: Arrival and visit of Marrakech.
Welcome at Marrakech airport. Transfer and installation in a riad of the medina.
Lunch and stroll in the medina to meet the jugglers of the Jemaa el-Fna square, storytellers and snake charmers, visit of the souk ...
The Marrakech medina is the largest in the Maghreb. Like many Moroccan sites, it is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage of Humanity. Its maze of streets, where the true heart of Marrakech beats, will immediately transport you in the mood of this trip.
Overnight in the riad.

D2: Transfer to Skoura.
After a breakfast in the Jemaa el-Fna square, we leave to Skoura. The 5-hour drive takes us over the Tichka pass and the Ouarzazate valley.
We check into the Ben Moro family inn in Skoura. Hakim and Driss will be delighted to welcome us to their magnificent kasbah. Skoura is 40km from Ouarzazate. It's the start of the route des 1000 kasbahs, bordered by a magnificent palm grove (one of the most beautiful in Morocco) and irrigated fields.
Overnight at the inn.

D3: Skoura.
This day gives us a chance to enjoy the palm grove, our hosts' magnificent setting and meet the local people. After a quiet wake-up call, we set off on a 3-hour hike with a local guide, who will invite us to lunch with his family.
Relaxation at the inn.
Night at the inn.

D4: Off to the desert.
After a pleasant breakfast on the terrace, we take the road of a thousand kasbahs to Merzouga, the gateway to the desert (6-hour drive).
Salem is waiting for us with his camels to go sleeping in the red sand desert.
Tuareg atmosphere for this Berber night in tents.

D5: Merzouga.
Salem welcomes us back from our hike for breakfast and accommodation in his hotel at the foot of the dunes.
We continue with a visit to Merzouga, the last village on the edge of the Sahara with its Tuareg inhabitants... Then we're off to the Gnawa village, where Hussein will teach us how to cook couscous, tajine and other local dishes, which we'll enjoy together to the sound of Gnawa music.
Night at the hotel.

D6: Transfer to Alnif.
Before leaving the desert, we visit the typical souk of Rissani with its donkey market, here in the land of dates and M'founa, the famous Berber pizza. We then move on to Alnif, a small town in southern Morocco, where we meet the Tassourt association. We visit the Kasbah and enjoy legendary Moroccan hospitality.
2-hour drive, overnight at Hotel Météorite.

D7: Free day in Alnif.
You've got the whole day for a stroll, a search for the famous Trilobite, a stroll through the souk, a visit to the school or, why not, a trip to the hammam.
In the evening, M'Barack, president of the Tassourt association, welcomes us for a family meal.
Night at Hotel Météorite.

D8: Tinghir.
We enjoy a final mint tea on Hocine's terrace before heading for Tinghir (1-hour drive).
We stop off at Aït el Farsi, where we meet the women of a self-help association who package spices and prepare couscous seeds. We eat couscous with them before heading back to the provincial capital for a visit and overnight stay.
Night in a gîte.

D9: Marrakech.
Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the palm grove, then it's back to Marrakech (7-hour drive).
You do your last shopping in the souk and we have a final dinner in Jemaa el-Fna square.
Night in a riad.

D10: Return to France.
It's time to leave. We enjoy our last moment in Morocco, having lunch in the square before transferring to the airport.
