Electric MTB on the Queyras balconies (Hautes-Alpes)

Description

Electric mountain biking is a new activity that allows you to combine the joys of cycling and the discovery of the territory. Guided by a mountain leader also mountain bike instructor, it's like having two trips in one!

During this stay in the Queyras, there is nothing too technical: I propose easy level rides for beginners or those who are not used to mountain biking and who want to discover a new way of riding.

All along this itinerary in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, you will discover the best biking itineraries, spectacular mountain landscapes and the atmosphere of the larch forests and the Queyras villages.

In one word: the unmissable of the Queyras massif!

Program

After a re-launching outing to discover your new bike and make a reminder of the technical bases necessary to evolve in confidence on your mtb, we will go together to discover the essential of Queyras:

D1: The Aigues valley.
A beautiful day of warm-up to discover the typical villages of Pierre Grosse, Molines-en-Queyras and Saint-Véran (I will take the time to make the visit), followed by an excursion in the valley of the Blanche. There you will admire the glacier lakes nestled at the foot of the Tête des Toillies and its renovated refuge where we will have the chance to taste a blueberry pie and enjoy the sun before descending between pastures and larch forest.

D2: Souliers / Roue lake.
You are in the limestone Queyras, and you will climb to dominate the imposing castle of Fort-Queyras and access the hidden valley of Souliers. You take the time to admire the beautiful Roue lake, which changes color every season. Today we make you happy: we have lunch at the hut!

D3: The valleys of Ceillac.
The two valleys of Ceillac are unmissable and are often considered the best place for an electric mountain bike ride. You go for a hike in front of the massif of Font Sancte, the summit of the Queyras massif, between extraordinary torrents that can make the occasion of a small bathing, forests, remarkable geology and villages outside time that remind us of the good life that we have in the Queyras.

D4: The Haut Guil valley.
Departure from the village of Abries towards the mythical Viso, 3841 meters high, and located just across the Italian border. Picnic in the valley of Haut Guil and if you still have the time and energy, we will take the opportunity to go to ride the other direction and visit the hamlets of the valley of Valpreveyre.

D5: Alpine life and panoramas...
To end the week, we will try to climb to find a beautiful alpine ambience, to be sure to find beautiful panoramas and remind our biking week. As you have obviously progressed, I will perhaps take you on some beautiful single tracks to finish the week…

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain bike instructor, also mountain leader.
• A route adapted to electric mountain bike.
• Mtb repair station available every evening.
• Logistics and the multitude of trails, which allow you to evolve on sectors adapted to your level.
• The organization of the circuit on site.
• Transfers by vehicle.
• Full board during the tour.
• A collective first aid kit.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from our bike center in Mont-Dauphin, 30 minutes drive from Briançon and one hour from Gap.
• Electric mountain bike rental: 150€ for the week for a semi-rigid or two suspensions bike.
• Cancellation insurance (2.9%)
• Tourist tax.
• Insurance costs for search and rescue / assistance repatriation (1%).
• Helmet which is mandatory (included if you rent the bike).

• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".

All accommodations are selected for the quality of their welcome, their neat cooking and their ability to accommodate groups of mountain bikers.
