Ski touring in Sulens (Aravis, Haute-Savoie)

Description

I would like to invite you to discover the ski touring "spot" that is the Sulens mountain in the Aravis massif in Haute-Savoie.

Known for its almost permanent practicability in winter (with many slopes below 30 degrees of inclination), it offers some very interesting combinations of climbs and descents to spend a great day of ski touring, away from the crowds roaming the other valleys a little more far away. Even when there is a high avalanche risk, you can still practice  ski touring in complete peace of mind, and make the most of the freshly fallen powder snow.

This outing is for sure the opportunity to discover a beautiful and original tour with a mountain guide who is a specialist of the sector.

On this ski tour, we will cover a positive altitude difference of around 1000 meters, and the descent will be technically relatively easy.

Program

• Meet at 9.30am at the starting point of the ski touring hike, about 45 minutes drive from Annecy, 30 minutes from Albertville and one hour from Chambéry.
• Ski touring outing with an positive altitude difference around 1000 meters and moderately difficult descents.
• Picnic lunch break to enjoy the ambience and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
• Return to the parking lot in the early afternoon around 3pm.
• Short transfer by vehicle.
• Tea time snack at Lo Garajo bar in Manigod village.
• End of the day and departure around 5pm.

The price includes

• Ski touring supervision by the mountain guide.
• Loan of safety equipment: avalanche beacon, probe and shovel.
• Snack at Lo Garâjo in Manigod.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from the meeting point.
• Ski touring personal equipment: skis, skins, hiking poles, helmet, shoes, etc.
• Your picnic.
