Description

I propose you to come in the Hautes-Alpes and try freetour skiing, a combination of lifts and climbs with skins. This is for sure the best solution for a maximum of descents and a total freedom in the mountains.

Fat skis are welcome for these 3 days in search of the beautiful slopes and the perfect off-piste, from the base camp located in the village of L'Argentière-la-Bessée. The department of the Hautes-Alpes is full of micro and bigger resorts, that we will select according to your desires and to the snow conditions of the moment. Every day we will visit a different spot, find a larch forest to trace, discover a new valley...

And maybe this weekend will make you want to try ski touring in the mountains of the Hautes-Alpes or take a snow and avalanche training course in Vars.

Program

The program will be established according to the weather and to the snow conditions of the moment and to your desires. The idea is to adapt and to ski the most possible beautiful lines, slopes with fresh snow, secret larch forests and beautiful corridors.

D1: Freeride and freetour skiing.
Appointment in Argentière-la-Bessée at 8.30am, about one hour drive from Gap and 20 minutes from Briançon.
Coffee, safety briefing and departure for the destination of the day, according to the conditions and to the desires of the moment.

D2 and D3: Freetour skiing.
The choice of destinations is made together, here are some ideas of spots: Abriès, Serre Chevalier, Vars, Puy-Saint-Vincent and many other small resorts and secret places that I perfectly know...
We will enjoy rides and ascents until the night pushes us towards the beer.
End of the stay on Sunday in the late afternoon.

The price includes

Supervision by the mountain guide specialized in the region.
Collective safety equipment: emergency radio, walkie-talkie, pharmacy, rope, harness.
Transportation on spots for 4 passengers.

The price does not include

Transport from your home to L'Argentière-la-Bessée.
Half board accomodation.
Your ski passes and those of the guide.
Picnics, drinks and all your personal expenses.
Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".

Accommodation

La Maison de Joséphine will be your base camp for these two nights (half board): excellent breakfasts, good food, sauna, what else?
The half board rate is 65€ in a shared room.
