Description

I propose to you a 4-day internship in Haute-Savoie around Annecy to allow you to overcome one of the biggest obstacles to pleasure and progression in rock climbing: the fear of falling! Climbing top rope or leading, this fear - or rather these fears - prevents us from being free, from being in the pleasure during climbing, not only when the pitch is over.

Why do we feel some fears? What are the mechanisms behind these fears? How can we learn to tame them? How is it possible to fall serenely? How can we make falling when leading a part of climbing, rather than something horrible that we put off as long as possible? How can we climb for climbing's sake?

These are just some of the questions that will be answered over the course of these 4 days dedicated to climbing. The focus will be on this aspect to give you the opportunity to enter another dimension of climbing.

To help you approach this activity in a different way and progress, I'm also offering an Art of Climbing day around Annecy to help you find your way on the rock, as well as a discovery of the Caruso method applied to climbing taking place in Haute-Savoie (also available as a multi-day course). You can also go one step further by opting for this introductory course to multi pitch route climbing in the Bornes and Aravis mountains.

Program

  • D1: Work on confidence-building.
  • D2: We tackle fear in all its components and the tools to manage it.
  • D3: In situ, we transfer the acquired knowledge and observe the results...
  • D4: immersion in complex situations, individual coaching, support for work already underway.

Voluntarily you will have only few information about the detailed content. This is to offer you the best quality of success in this overcoming of blockages when climbing. Because as soon as there is some information, there is interpretation and analysis, which affects the expected transformation effect.

From a practical point of view, the activities take place from 9am to 4pm, with a picnic lunch break of approximately one hour around noon.

In the morning we go to the choosen climbing cliff where we stay until the end of the session. We use your own cars to get to and from the climbing sites, carpooling and sharing expenses.
