Infos & BookingDescription
A myth, a vertical adventure, an unforgettable day and a beautiful achievement in the Dévoluy massif climbing guidebook! That is all what this Desmaison route represents!
I propose you to go for 600 vertical meters of limestone and 19 pitches on the famous Eastern pillar of the Pic de Bure, following a clever path where it is better to open the eyes. This route offers you a fun climbing in the footsteps of a great name of mountaineering, the climber an mountain guide René Desmaison.
Having climbed this route several times, I will be happy to guide you there in total serenity, on this famous and major climbing route of the Dévoluy massif and of the Hautes-Alpes department. Arriving at the summit will be rewarded with an incredible atmosphere, with the presence of the observatory's many telescopes and a breathtaking panorama of the Dévoluy and Écrins mountains.
If you are a fan of technical multi pitch routes, we can also go climbing on the magnificent granite of the Rébuffat route at the Aiguille du Midi in the Mont-Blanc massif or, closer, climb a multi pitch route above Ailefroide in the Écrins massif.
Program
- Contact me via the booking form and then we will have a phone call and we will take time to discuss about this beautiful project.
- Then appointment the day before the outing for a material and logistics briefing. The best is to bivouac not far from the departure of the route, because the sequence of the approach and the route make a long day!
- Climbing takes place on a beautiful pillar with generous holds, along a bold and adventurous route where you should not get lost under penalty of wandering!
- This Desmaison route on the Eastern pillar of the Pic de Bure offers some long and superb climbing, but it's a project to build well.
