Trail training in Gavarnie (Pyrenees)

Description

I propose a 3-day trail training course in the Estaubé and Gavarnie cirques in the heart of the Pyrenees to improve your physical volume and endurance.

Based on intense races accumulating many kilometers and important altitude differences, this trail training course aims to prepare a big sporting competition several weeks in advance by leading you to push your limits and to allow your body to be in physical overcompensation on the day of the event.

Program

D1: Trail in Estaubé cirque, from 15 to 25 kilometers, from 1000 to 1500 meters of positive altitude difference.

Morning:

• Meet in Gèdre, one hour drive from Lourdes.
• Effort and endurance management.
• Usage of hiking poles.
• Analysis of the running techniques and heart rate of each person.
• Sheathing and muscle reinforcement.

Afternoon:

• Pedagogical course.
• Night and dinner in an inn.

D2: Trail in Gavarnie cirque, from 18 to 28 kilometers, from 1200 to 2000 meters of positive altitude difference.

Morning:

• Endurance management.
• Relaunch.
• Feeding during effort.
• Proprioception and work of the descent supports.

Afternoon:

• Analysis of objectives.
• Development of individual training plans on request.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader specialist of trail.
• Organization of the trail course.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from Gèdre.
• Day 1 picnic (5€ per person).

Accommodation

• Full board accommodation in a lodge.
• Possibility to arrive the day before (65€/person).
• Possibility for a companion to stay at the chalet with full board (65€ per night).
