Caving in the Dent de Crolles: Elisabeth waterfall
Duration : 1 day
France, Northern Alps
Level : intermediate, from 15 years old
from 90 € / p. from 1 to 6 persons
Infos & BookingDescription
In the centre of a vast hall inside the Dent de Crolles, the Elisabeth waterfall has been enthroned undivided for centuries. It pours out the waters of the Guiers Mort, visible from outside.
But the waterfall is not easily approached: it asks its suitors to overcome a labyrinth and its maze of confusing galleries. At the end of this challenge, a final abseiling descent allows to reach the objective: the cascade waterfall.
This round trip taking place in Isère, in the Chartreuse massif, is a sporty, intense and playful route that ends with a vertiginous finish over the immense Ouragan hall.
A caving trip? More than that: a must!
If you would like a gentle introduction to the activity, you can follow me on an introductory caving course in the Dent de Crolles in Chevalier cave, in the secret Annette cave or along the Glaz loop. And if you are looking for something more challenging, I can also take you caving in the Solitaire gallery or on the Glaz route via the Ogive in the heart of the Dent de Crolles.
