Canyoning in Molitg-les-Bains (Eastern Pyrenees)

Description

Perfect for a first outing with friends or family, the canyon of Molitg-les-Bains in the Eastern Pyrenees allows you to gently discover the canyoning activity.

Close to Canigou, the emblematic mountain of the Catalan region, this canyon was dug in the granite by the Castellane river, offering sumptuous gorges and a landscape worthy of a postcard. You can be sure you are in for a real treat!

Playful and accessible, this little but pretty canyon is a delight for young and old alike! After a fairly open start, the route becomes increasingly steep and spectacular. All along the itinerary, you will be able to jump, swim and slide in the effervescent water basins, and you will have during this descent a concentrate of all that one can make in canyoning activity:

• jumps from 3 to 6 meters high, never mandatory,
• superb natural slides from 2 to 10 meters long (also optional),
• abseils from 3 to 12 meters in small waterfalls.

But I won't tell you more so that you can be surprised!

For more comfort and conviviality, the outing is done in small groups of 8 persons maximum.

Program

• Meeting point in Molitg-les-Bains, about 10 minutes drive from Prades, 45 minutes from Perpignan and one hour from Font-Romeu.
• Discovery of the equipment and briefing.
• 5 minutes walk to the start of the canyon.
• Approximately one and a half to two hours for the caynoning descent, with learning of the safety techniques.
• 10 minutes walk back to the parking lot.

• Supervision by the canyoning instructor.
• The technical equipment necessary for the practice of the activity (neoprene suit, helmet, harness, belay device, etc.).
• Canyoning shoes.
